Matt & Emily | Engaged

First off, let me just say that this session would not have been possible if it wasn’t for Leslie and her outside-of-the-box-thinking that lead us to Cincinnati to photograph two of our friends. Now why in the world would we head to Cincinnati you ask??? Well, because in our previous conversation with Matt and Emily, Matt had promised Emily, when they first met, that he would take her to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen down in Cincinnati. A few years later and he had yet to fulfill that promise. So we pitched the idea to Matt and he was game. Of course we tried to keep it a secret from Emily, but unfortunately we had to let her in on our plan the day of the shoot. Needless to say, we all made it down there, spent the evening exploring some of the local scenes, and enjoyed some amazing seafood at yup, you guessed it…Pappadeaux!

Hope you all enjoy!

Bao & Trang | California Wedding

Ladies and Gentlemen! This is the moment you’ve all been waiting for…drumroll…Introducing……………Bao aaaaaand Trang! *APPLAUD

Leslie and I had the pleasure of heading out west to photograph probably one of my all time favorite weddings ever. It was a favorite for many reasons: One, it was our first destination wedding, and my very first trip to California – crazy, huh? Two, we were so excited to learn about the rituals and customs of their traditional wedding. And three, never have I ever seen a bride and groom move the way Bao and Trang did on that dance floor. Seriously guys, we will be getting in touch with you soon for some classes.

Bao and Trang: I remember packing up our gear and heading home, and all I could say over and over was that I couldn’t believe the night was ending. Words cannot express how wonderful and sincere you two are. It was such an incredible opportunity to be out there with you guys on your wedding day. You both are truly amazing people. We hope you enjoy the pics! CHEEEERS!!!!Logo

Lisa & Jacob | Engaged

I’m warning you now…you are about to witness one of my favorite engagement sessions that I’ve ever had to opportunity to photograph!

undefined Everyone. I’d like for you to meet Jake and Lisa. They’re simply in love.
undefined undefined

They were almost too easy to photograph.

undefined undefined undefined

I have to give a huuuuge shout out to Leslie Sheets of Captivating Serenity for her awesome assistance. She found us golden rods!!!  undefined undefined

Once again…making it look so easy!!! undefined undefined

Thanks again to Leslie for believing that we needed to get the series of shots in the grass – even though it was in a ditch right next to a busy road. And to Jake and Lisa for putting their trust in us! These are definitely some of my favorites.
undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined

That’s pure excitement right there! undefined

It was hard to believe that all these photos were done in one location. So happy we rescheduled after we originally booked on a day that looked like death, lol. undefined undefined

Jake and Lisa: Thank you, thank you, thank you for making this happen! Leslie and I had a blast and hope that you two did as well. It’s hard to believe that we’ll be photographing you guys in less than two months. Can’t wait!!!  Logo

Rosesa & Adam | Engaged

Happy Thanksgiving all! I’ve been truly blessed to have photographed some of the most amazing couples ever! This weekend was no exception. Rosesa, my very close childhood friend, got in touch with me a few weeks ago with news that she will be marrying the love of her life, Adam, and that they will be in town for us to get together for an e-session!! Oh, it gets better! They had planned on getting their photos taken at COSI, Center of Science and Industry…right here in Columbus, Ohio!!! Major WIN! Everyone who grew up going there as a kid will tell you how AWWWESOME this place is! Okay, maybe I’m exaggerating, but I find anything with an educational value to be quite fascinating. I mean…who doesnt love science? Some of you will probably agree with me on this one. Anyways, I hope you all enjoy the set. Cheers!

undefined undefined undefined At first Rosesa was completely discombobulated on what to do, but once they loosened up a bit it was smooooth sailing.
undefined Thanks guys for putting up with the cold rain…oh yeah, and all the ‘goose poop’ haha! undefined undefined undefined I thought it was hilarious that Adam showed up starving. I offered to get them lunch before we got started, but he was determined to tough it out so they could make it back to Roses’a mom’s place and enjoy her amazing bowl of Pho (pronounced ‘Fuh’ or ‘Fu-uuuuuh)! If you’ve never had a bowl of Pho then shame on you ! undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined undefined “Gravity cannot be held responsible for two people falling in love.” – Albert Einstein
undefined undefined undefined Major props to Rosesa for having the guts to sneak that hip looking chair and place it against the orange wall. She really wanted those colors!!! undefined undefined

Rosesa and Adam, we truly had a blast on our wonderful excursion through the world of science! I’m extremely happy for the both of you and the future you two are about to embark on. Good luck on the condo search. I’ll hopefully see you guys next year for the BIG DAY!!!!

Trina and Thanh, I’m not going to lie, but I totally felt all warm and fuzzy inside when you gave me a shout out during your speech. I am blessed to have known and shared wonderful ‘college years’ with you two. I don’t even need to wish you guys any luck for the future ahead, because if there’s two people in the world I can think of who are perfectly suited for each other, it’s certainly you two! Thank you both for allowing me to be there, not only as a guest, but as a friend.Logo
